So last week I dressed up three out of the planned four days. By Thursday I just wanted to be comfortable, plus my black petti now needs a wash and a starching. I have 90% of a coordinate all ready but I need a top for it. I even ebayed some vintage crochet gloves like the ones the Victorian Maiden models have been wearing this season. But I fear it is already too hot for a bustled coordinate, let alone lolita in general. MUST FIND COOL LOLITA CLOTHES.
Innocent World is going to start shipping internationally, and they actually carry stuff that fits me! Plus it seems that they are expanding their sizing in preparation for selling to western markets. I hope that by the time something I love is released I will have the money for it. Right now I'm digging this dress in just about every color offered, though.
I consider the hennaing to be a success. I'm looking forward to my low-maitenance, natural-looking redhededness. Still haven't had the balls to try making my own shampoo and conditioner, but the jasmine hair oil I put on my ends last night made for soft hair in the morning after a wash. Adam was complaining about the smell, though. Next time I'll get coconut oil I think.
IT IS TOO FUCKING HOT TODAY. FUCK. I put a cool damp rag on top of Twoface and she totally stretched out with it on. Poor kitty's too hot with her long fur. |

I've finally started my Mars Volta/Veronica Mars video. I hope you guys are really for ten minutes of pure awesome. It's so fun to make a non-shippy video with Veronica, Logan, and Weevil's most kickass moments. Three words: Felix. Murder. Case. That shit was the best part of season two.
I know I haven't really stated which side of the VM fandom fence I'm on. Well, I think that there's been a steep decline in quality for the show, but I think The OC proved that a show can bounce back when its creators realize they can't get away with half-assed plot and character development. Season four may prove to be a renaissance of sorts and I'm willing to at least give it one last shot. That said, I understand those who no longer want anything to do with VM, but please, don't ruin it for the rest of us by actively trying to get it canceled.

| Logan/Veronica Fanvid - Denial, Revisited |

I'm coming out of the woodwork to share a fanvid I just made. It's about how Veronica and Logan keeps breaking up but Logan never gives up on her. It is set to Denial, Revisited, which is an Offspring song, but believe me when I say that it's the only Offspring song that isn't annoying as crap. Just about every single lyric makes perfect sense for Veronica and Logan, and the one line that doesn't is hilariously obvious. I wanted to show every single Logan/Veronica breakup but in season one Veronica never really breaks up with him, she just accuses him of murder. And here I thought breaking up with an e-mail was unfeeling.

I think I'm becoming addicted to ebay. It started with attempting to hunt down Veronica's bags and as turned into me just searching for Lucky Brand and Urban Outfitters clothes. It sure does beat paying full price for those cute but overpriced outfits.
Fandomwise I'm falling back in love with The O.C. and am entertained but not in love with Heroes. Well, that's not entirely true. I love Hiro, Endo, Peter, and Claire but have issues with certain other characters like Nikki/Jessica and Mohinder. There needs to be more Hiro and Claire RIGHT NOW.
I am ( perpetually stressed out by Veronica Mars )
Have stopped watching Greys, even though I never really was into it. My grandparents are terrified of doctors because of that show, which is hilarious. There needs to be a show with the guy who plays Denny--and he DOESN'T die. I swear he is just so charming in everything I've seen him in.
I haven't yet forgiven House for coming back on at 9:00 on Tuesdays. Plus it is turning into Power Rangers with its unending use of the same storyline format. A patient needs to die soon or I'm not going to bother taping it anymore. That or Cuddy/House and/or Cameron/House situations.
Oh and Ugly Betty has my vote for cutest new show. Her nephew is the coolest kid ever. I wish that Betty would lend VM a couple million viewers.
I'm suddenly very verbose today. I will cut more of this entry if you don't like it taking up so much space on your flist. |

| Of Vice and Men: A Review |

It seems that the fandom has been divided into two camps: those that are jaded with the show, and those who just want to enjoy their show. Which camp am I? Neither. I understand a lot of the problems the naysayers present, but I don’t let those problems keep me from loving this show. I also understand that it sucks to pour so much effort into saving a show only to have the showrunner seem to ignore your ideas on how to improve the show. However, I think certain aspects are getting better: returning to a more stylized cinematic style, the humor is smarter, the new characters aren‘t completely obnoxious. Say what you will, Piz and Parker aren't half as bad as Jackie.
This episode was really, really solid. The mystery of the week didn’t involve Veronica going around accusing people and taught Veronica a few lessons but not in a way that makes a stretch as in 3.03.
The Logan/Veronica issue was valid. If I were Veronica I would have reacted the same way. I would have been a few more steps toward sadness on the emotional scale, but Veronica is a lot more angry than I am. I do agree with Logan though when he says that nine out of ten people would have done the same as he did during that fire. He’s right, and just because Veronica is that one person who would have done something in that situation does make it any less true. It means that Logan isn’t perfect and I honestly can accept that.
The Keith/Veronica issue was similarly valid but I don’t think Veronica should have been so mean about it. Saying that since Veronica and Keith are both adults so they can both choose not to come home is one thing, but Veronica has a record of sabotaging all of Keith’s relationships and that is not cool. I don’t want Keith to be dating married women either, but it is Keith and Harmony’s choice. I would have just told Keith to wait until she files for divorce before he sees her again. That way they get to pursue happiness with minimal damage to Mr. Chase.
The best moment of the episode was the ending. I loved the effects used to make Veronica seem drugged. I love the cinematography in the parking structure scene. I loved Logan coming through for Veronica even though she lashes out at him. I love Veronica’s reference to South Park and that she might have learned something from this experience. I loved Keith + Logan = Veronica’s Personal Fanclub.
I guess I'm that friend everyone has that doesn't take sides when you and another friend are fighting. I go, hm, I see you're point, but that person makes a lot of sense too. |

| Any Pirates Fans Out There? |

I just wanted to see who would be interested in reading a Pirates of the Caribbean fic I am writing with my friend. It takes place between the first two movies and creates a whole new mini adventure with new villians, characters, and treasure. Its going to be really good, so if you don't mind reading quality OC than I highly suggest reading.

My mom is the coolest. She just told my brother that Veronica Mars is the awesomest. That's a lot coming from her, who scorns just about every fandom I've been obsessed with for my entire life. Here's the shocker: I got her obsessed with the second season! She's watching the rerun of Cheaty Cheaty Bang-Bang for the second time this week.
God it is so hot out here right now. It doesn't help that I have this laptop on my lap. It is almost too hot to study for finals, but I know I should. Instead I'm making icons from the opening theme to the X-Men animated series. I'm totally giving the wolverine one to my friend rebelcoyote13 if she wants it.
I'm tired of all the x-posted fanfiction on my f-list. It seems one person's fic takes up a fourth of my f-list so I always seem to miss the non-repetitive posts. I guess I have to resort to filters. Which fic community should I keep on my f-list? |

I might also want to note that Kristin Bell has a slight lazy eye and my position of the eyes is actually accurate. I really didn't believe that the aptly-named "Wonky" existed until I drew this and I really admire Bell for being able to control it in 99.9% of the shots.

I keep having dreams that have to do with Veronica Mars in some way. It really is getting quite ridiculous. Here are some of the strange VM situations I've found myself in:
- Finding the body of a little girl who was raped and murdered and then suddenly becoming Veronica to solve the case and kiss Logan
- Sheriff Lamb coming to my house and I assumed that he was there to arrest me formy semi-legal gumshoeing, but instead he wanted to fine my family for leaving our trash cans out on the curb for too long.
- Aaron Echolls chasing me through a huge store that has both hardware and crafts merchandise. He found my hiding spot and I woke as he was about to kill me.
- Keith Mars was my father. Don't remember much more than that.
- I was some random Neptune High girl that had a huge crush on Logan.
I work at my dad's glass/window shop as a secretary and the creepiest thing has been happening. MY DAD WORKS FOR THE FITZPATRICKS. I'm terrified. How can my dad sell shower enclosures and mirrors to those bloodthirsty people? I fear for his safety and mine.
Oh yeah, look at my new icon! I love that little part of the theme where Veronica is standing and grining all evilly at the camera. The animation makes it look like she's bumping some jams but I don't care. |

Pairing/Character: Hannah, Logan, and Veronica, with appearances by Keith and Lamb. Not a romantic fic, but be able to stomach both hints at HaLo and LoVe.
Word Count: 1,400ish one-shot
Rating: PG-13 for violence and mild language
Summary: Hannah discovers that the Fitzpatricks killed her dad for rescinding his testimony on Logan's case and decides to make Logan pay.
Spoilers: Know everything from 2.13 to 2.16
Author's Note: This is a major crack!fic concerning Hannah's characterization. I wanted to her to hate Logan like she should even if nothing in canon suggests her to be anything but peachy keen with all of Logan's actions. Not my best work (especially since I'm Beta-less) but if you want to see Hannah go nuts it is worth a read.
